Important Information for Pet Owners

  • Pets are transported within the passenger area and not in the luggage compartment.
  • Pets must weigh up to ten (10) kilograms and be transported in a carrier measuring 50x40x35 cm.
  • Guide dogs for individuals with disabilities, regardless of size, are allowed near their owner, are not placed in a carrier, but must wear a muzzle.
  • Unaccompanied pets are not allowed.
  • Owners must carry all necessary documents for their pet, which should be up-to-date for the last two years.
  • Each bus can accommodate a maximum of two (2) companion pets.

 

 

What if you do not travel? Bus ticket cancelation.

n case you pay a ticket and you finally won’t go onthe trip, the company gives the passenger a refund of 70% of the ticket price (when the cancellation concerns a seat on one of the buses to rural areas and it is done at least 8 hours before the departure time) or a refund of 50% in case of a reservation cancellation within 8 hours before departure time. If you don't come at the station before the departure time, you may not require a refund afterwards. However, the Board of Directors of our company, upon your request, for social reasons and having good faith may refund you partially. This only refers to the company "KTEL HERAKLION-LASITHI S.A." and no other transportation companies, which may apply a different policy.

 

Can I pay my ticket with a credit card?

Yes, you can pay your ticket by credit card in all of our central stations.

 

Which buses have wifi? Is there wi-fi at the bus stations?

All our buses offer a free wi-fi network service, powered by external GSM antennas for an improved wi-fi signal and advanced free wi-fi routers. Also, there is free wi-fi access inside the bus station.

 

How many luggages can I have with me?

The Passenger Rights Regulation (Government Gazette 1181 / 06.19.2015, page 12503) provides:

On Intercity routes permitted, with the responsibility of the passenger under the discretion of the driver or another carrier's authorized staff, the baggage and other items, as follows:

• Passenger luggage placed in the luggage compartment of the bus. Each passenger Law 2 luggage free. Extra baggage charge.

• Small baggage (hand luggage, backpacks, etc.) for the safety of persons should not held in hand, but be placed in the special luggage racks in the bus.

• transportation of dangerous, flammable, sharp, poisonous, polluting or foul smelling materials in general, objects dangerous to the physical integrity of the passengers is not allowed.

 

Are there discounts for students, disabled and unemployed?

Discounted rates are available for students, large families and people with disabilities. For families with three children there is a discount only for outside Crete routes. There is no reduced price for the unemployed. When the ticket is subject to a discount scheme, the passenger must carry such proof of discount (valid large family card, student card, etc.) and to produce, whenever requested, otherwise he has to pay the rest amount of the ticket. Discount on return tickets exist only on routes outside Crete and only their final destinations.

 

Can I carry my bike to the bus of KTEL HERAKLION LASITHI?

Yes, the bike can be transported by buses provided that this is a fold. The price of the transfer is paid to storage and varies according to the destination.
